Today, Primal Pit Paste celebrates 7 years of forging the path to natural - one armpit at a time! In honor of this milestone, we sat down with Founder and CEO Amy Perez to hear her thoughts on how far Primal Pit Paste has come since those early days of experimenting in her kitchen.
When I started Primal Pit Paste, one of my biggest goals was to educate consumers. The natural movement was well under way, thanks to pioneers like Dr. Bronner’s and Badger and others, but I wanted to bring the conversation to a wider audience. There’s a lot of misinformation and just plain false information out there about the products we’re putting onto (and therefore into) our bodies. We trust that if a product is on a shelf a.) It’s safe b.) It must be good for you, but that is not the case. This trust is often abused by big companies who use low-quality ingredients that have not been studied long-term and aren’t safe. I believe the shelf should educate, and transparency should be a given! That’s why we’ve made it our mission to knock toxic products off the shelf.
In the last 7 years, we have made great strides toward accomplishing that goal, and I am so proud of the change we’ve helped spark in the industry. But what I’m most proud of is the impact our products have had on our customers! When I get emails and handwritten notes expressing how thankful they are and that our products have been life changing, it is a huge reminder of the WHY, and at the end of the day, that’s really what matters most to me.
I’ve had the privilege of working with and learning from some truly incredible people over these years, especially the dedicated individuals on the team who make it all possible. I truly could not not, nor would not, want to do this without my P3 family.
